Love and Hip Hop has done a total revamp for the New York installment.
After poor ratings and a bad reception for season 8, a lot of season 8 cast was
fired or scaled back due to fights, not enough storyline, unnecessary fighting/lack of dialogue, or for being boring
and uninteresting. Mona did a mass firing of majority of the cast!

The franchise is going for a much smaller cast for season 9: Only 9 from season 8 are returning!

seasons, to do Season 9 of Love and Hip Hop NYC.

Love and Hip Hop NY returns December 2018 to VH1."
