I read an article today which contained a very disturbing, yet, not surprising quote from Amber Rose. She discussed her families feelings about race and explained why they were no shows at her wedding with Rapper Wiz Khalifa. Here's what Amber had to say about it all in her own words.
“With my family, they feel like they’re more superior or better than an African American because we’re Creole and we have culture and that’s something I battle with most of my life. It’s more of the older people in my family.”
I'm not surprised one bit! Did you peep what she said though? "We have culture"!
In other words, since our culture was stolen from us and we don't know what it truly is, that means we are not worthy to be in relationships with other ethnic and racial groups because we don't fit the bill!
Because they have CULTure. Extra emphasis on the cult, in culture! This is disturbing to say the least and not surprising at all! The whole, "they don't have a culture", argument was used as an excuse to teach Egyptian born Dr. Mostafa Hefny hatred for American so called "blacks". (Video about Mostafa posted below)
As far as Amber Roses personal situation goes, I wonder whether or not people like her family ever stop to think to themselves, some people don't even like their own culture and they actually mesh better with another?
Just a thought.
