A reality show doesn't ruin a good marriage. However, it does make it difficult for a wayward spouse to hide his cheating. Wouldn't it just be easier to not cheat? Then no one would have any info to throw up in the spouses face. Women will put up with alot to keep a man so that they don't appear to be less womanly. Where as a woman might be inclined to ignore a philandering husband, the humiliation of appearing desperate and less womanly for the whole world to laugh and cackle at is too much to ask of any woman.
