Michigan woman bit by lion at Zoo! Says she was allowed to pet the lion! Plans to sue!

Renae Furgeson was visiting Sunrise Side Nature Trail and Exotic Park in Michigan, when according to her story, she asked if she could pet a caged lion, the zoo keeper said, "Yes", she was let inside the cage, and the animal bit a piece of her finger off! She went on to say that the Zoo told her to not talk about the attack. To essentially lie about it.

Renae is planning to take legal action against the zoo. The Zoo says that Renae is lying and that she entered the cage on her own reconnaissance.

Here is my take. I have never heard of a Zoo allowing visitors to randomly walk up in cages with lions, and pet them all willy nilly. If I had to guess, I'd say yeah, she's lying. The very dumb woman is lucky to be alive and needs to leave it at that. Just be grateful that Simba didn't eat all of you, as opposed to just nibbling on your finger tip!
